I am a designer, communicator, creator, thinker, explorer, lecturer…

I love to create simple, pure, useable and beautiful design solutions. I'm experienced in user experience design, interface design, interaction design, information design and have a solid academic background in visual communication design. I am convinced that user goals combined with business goals and technical goals create successful design solutions to complex problems. Constantly I develop my knowledge and skills in the field of Experience Design and Service Design and enjoy to collaborate and to learn every day.

Design education

Complementary to my professional work, I shared my experience and knowledge while teaching and coaching students: I have eight years of international teaching experience on bachelors and masters level at four different design programs.

The good thing about teaching for me is that it makes you re-visit your own practices and go back one step in order to see the bigger picture.

User Experience is more than just aesthetics

We have relationships with our technology. User experience design facilitates how people feel, think, act and are influenced through interactions with information and communication technologies. Making technology accessible and easy to use is one essential part; thinking sustainably and keeping authenticity and utility at the heart of projects is the other important goal.

Design is a process

Design for me is a process of translation, a process of constant balancing between different aspects and a process that creates many parallel ideas and concepts. The space between problem setting and findig a solution is explored in a process of continuous trial and error. Design finds connections between seemingly disparate things.
